The classic bokken is made of hard white oak and weighs between 500 and 600 g. The delivery includes the tsuba (hand guard) and the tsuba holder. The blade has a narrow profile. The centre of gravity is slightly closer to the handle.
There is a matching saya (sword sheath made of plastic) to protect the wooden sword and for realistic sword drawing practice.
This wooden sword is made of very strong and stable wood.
The bokken is a traditional Japanese wooden sword, which is very suitable for training instead of the katakana.
